Something new is on its' way, aimed to spread the ways of dakka! This post goes more into detail on what's in store with the Dakka Improvement Project, a series of remodels dedicated to bringing more dakka to World of Tanks. Read all about it here! As the old saying goes, "there is no such thing as 'too much dakka'". (Yep, that's totally how it went. I definitely didn't make that up just now.) And while you'd think tanks would be the epitome of that philosophy, a surprising amount of vehicles in World of Tanks don't actually have very much in the way of machine gunnery. Therefore, since I've recently figured out how to make remodels for the game, I've decided to embark on a new project, which aims to fix that. Whether a .50 cal for your T32, a DSHK for your SU-100M1, a MAC 31 for your B-C 12 t, or an M60 for your... well, M60, I'm hoping to have you covered. Of course, while this isn't exactly the most advanced or complicated type of remodelling (for that, I would suggest having a look over at someone like Miruku_Nyan's work), it's still likely to take some time to properly finish (and for that matter, I do plan on getting them to work with atacms's UML - yes, that means animating them, i.e. making them move around with the mouse cursor/fire/etc. - similarly to what TheFalkonett already does with some vehicles in his UML Utilization Project, except on vehicles which previously did not have external machine guns), so I'll be adding vehicles to the project over time (and post updates when I do so). Of course, something has to start the project off, so what better way to start it off than with a bang? As such, spearheading the project's release is something just a tiny bit absurd, for lack of a better description: the SU-100Y Superfortress! SU-100Y Superfortress |
