THE DAKKA IMPROVEMENT PROJECT HAS NOW BEEN SPLIT INTO TWO SEPARATE PACKS! Just in time for the holiday season, Dakka is getting a major update! The original pack (now known as the Legacy version) will include the bulk of the existing content, while the newer "Dakka Plus" pack will contain most of the new content going forward. As there is quite a lot to cover, I have put together a short list of questions & answers regarding the split: What is Dakka Plus? An extension of the original "Dakka Improvement Project" mod for World of Tanks, Dakka Plus is a remodel pack including a number of vehicles with additional equipment + dakka. This will be taking the place of the old mod for most new content updates, and mainly features vehicles with more complex remodels than the original set. The following vehicles are included in the initial release (v1.0.0) of Dakka Plus: 🇨🇿 Czechoslovakia:
More details on what's included, as well as some preview images, can be found on the dedicated Dakka Plus page. Additionally, more vehicles are in the works, so stay tuned for updates! A number of new vehicles are planned, and several existing vehicles which have been ported over from the original Dakka Improvement Project will receive overhauls with additional equipment/etc. sometime in the near future. These are currently as follows: Centurion 7/1, Super Conqueror, GSOR 1008, ASTRON Rex 105 mm, T110E5, SU-130PM. Why the split? The more complex remodels have been separated from the much larger set of simple models (the ones which simply add a machine gun and nothing else), for a number of reasons:
Have any of my favorite dakka remodels been removed? A number of existing vehicles have been moved to the new pack, but do not fret -- between the two packs, NO REMODELS HAVE BEEN ENTIRELY REMOVED. Any remodels which are no longer included in the original pack can now be found in Dakka Plus, in addition to some new/overhauled content! What's happening to the original Dakka Improvement Project? The original Dakka Improvement Project is here to stay! However, there have been some changes -- namely, the original pack is now known as the Legacy pack (referred to as "Dakka Legacy", "Legacy Dakka Improvement Project" etc). Furthermore, Dakka Plus will receive the majority of new content updates going forward (new vehicles etc), while the Legacy version will mainly receive support/maintenance updates when needed. The original pack has received an update of its own, by the way -- for more details, go check out the changelog on the Dakka Legacy page (scroll down). Furthermore, I would like to emphasize -- no, the Legacy pack is not being abandoned. I will attempt to maintain it to continue working with the latest game versions as best as I can going forward. However, as mentioned above, more of my effort will be going into making new content for the new Dakka Plus pack. With all that in mind, check out the new Dakka Plus pack below! Several all-new remodels can be found in the pack, including: As well as:
Happy Holidays!
