Status Update: the second release of the Dakka Improvement Project is here, complete with 27 new vehicles! This update mainly focuses on two nations which had yet to make an appearance - Germany and Sweden - but also includes an assortment of vehicles from other nations. Read on for all the details, as well as some preview images -- and, of course, a link to download!
Here is the full list of additions in this version:
Version 2 (17. July, 2018)
As is the usual for this project, these vehicles all feature various types of machine gunnery from their respective nations. Once again, I've kept the majority of the mounting points and setups for these machine guns as historical as possible (wherever this was, in itself, possible), but a few vehicles (namely the Swedish and Italian ones) required the application of some "artistic license" (since no mounting points were available on those vehicles, nor were all of the vehicles themselves even fully-historical to begin with [mostly looking at the Italian when saying that]). Now, enough talk -- onto some screenshots!
(Note: While I've included as many as I could find when rummaging through my screenshots folder, not all of the vehicles from this update are shown here. The rest will be left for you to discover in-game.)
...okay, back to talking again, since there's other things to mention. In addition to the aforementioned set of new vehicles, there have been some other minor changes/fixes since last, which, until the next set of Update Notes is released, can be viewed on the project's Github page. (Most of them revolve around squashing bugs from the initial release.)
With all that being said (and shown?), here's a link to download the latest release!
Of course, this isn't the final release for the Dakka Improvement Project -- more updates (with plenty more new vehicles) are to come in the near future! If you have any suggestions for vehicles/setups you'd like to see included, let me know in the comments, and I'll see about potentially adding those to the roster. Ideas/suggestions/critiques/etc. are always welcome!
That's all for now! Hope you enjoy the update, and stay tuned for more!
